We know that we not only have the best looking turf in the state of Indiana, but we also have an NFL style field, and I’m very proud of that.

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, August 9, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- UBU Sports®, the premier provider of synthetic turf systems that optimize performance and maximize athlete safety, has completed installation of its scientifically advanced Speed Series S5-M synthetic turf system at Warren Central High School in Indianapolis. The field features alternating panels and unique logo designs with alternating colors in each end zone.

“It was exactly what we hoped for in terms of the quality of the product, everything just looks phenomenal,” said Marques Clayton, Warren Central Athletic Director. “We know that we not only have the best looking turf in the state of Indiana, but we also have an NFL style field, and I’m very proud of that.”

The Warren Central Warriors, eight-time state football champions, will play on the same synthetic turf system as 14 NFL teams, including the Minnesota Vikings, which installed the S5-M product at its new venue, U.S. Bank Stadium, this summer as well.

“I am confident that we have the best field we could possibly have given our athletes, and I expect we’re going to be a model for the high schools in this state for a long time,” says Darrell Thompson, Assistant Director of Facilities, Engineering at Warren Central.

The slit-film fiber of the Speed S5-M Series features a mixed rubber/sand infill that ensures a fast, firm, safe and durable playing surface. Drainage perforations allow water to move quickly through the turn and into the drainage system. The ISO Grid system contributes to consistent playability throughout the field, while the exclusive multiple layer ARMOURWEAVE backing system ensures dimensional stability and long-lasting seams. A secondary backing also ensures fiber retention.

“Having synthetic turf preferred by so many NFL teams, it creates a sense of pride, not just amongst our athletes, but the community as well,” Clayton continued. “The field is a big deal, and other schools have taken notice.”

The new field will also be used for band and school events, as well as the occasional soccer and lacrosse games. While the first event held on Warren Central’s new field was a youth football camp for 200 kids, the first game will be a football scrimmage on August 12. Following that, Warren Central’s home opener will be September 9 versus Lawrence Central High School.

“Warren Central was passionate about giving its student-athletes the safest and best-performing playing surface available today, once again reaffirming its position as one of the top interscholastic institutions in Indiana with its vision and commitment to excellence,” said Ryan Mouw, Regional Manager, UBU Sports.
