Low Rider(TM) Packs Feature New Crux(R) Lumbar Reservoir

PETALUMA, CA--(Marketwired - August 03, 2016) - CamelBak®, the global leader in personal hydration, brings innovative Low Rider™ technology to the outdoor market with the Franconia™ LR 24 and Sundowner™ LR 22. Water is one of the most essential, and heavy, items transported in the outdoors. CamelBak Low Rider packs are specifically designed to situate the water weight on the hiker's hips, thereby lowering their center of gravity and increasing the stability of their pack. Moving the water weight down low allows for greater freedom of movement on the hiker's back and relieves pressure on their shoulders.

The Franconia LR 24 and Sundowner LR 24 are designed with lumbar compression webbing that runs along the waist belt, through the reservoir compartment and around the reservoir itself, allowing for direct compression to the water for maximum stability. It also gives the hiker the ability to maintain proper compression on the reservoir as the volume decreases during their adventure. The Sundowner LR 24 is specifically designed for women, with a shorter torso length and a s-curved harness.
