Dessau Vet Clinic Hires New Staff Members

AUSTIN, Texas, July 31, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dessau Vet Clinic, a full-service veterinary clinic that serves pets and pet owners in North Austin recently announced the hiring of three new staff members. One of the new hires, a groomer named Shelli, came on board in 2014. The two others, vet technicians named April and Chelsey, joined the team within the last few months. They join Dr. Kellee Campbell, DVM, the founder of the clinic. "We couldn't be more excited about adding these talented employees to our close-knit team," said Dr. Campbell. "Dessau Vet Clinic will benefit enormously from the expertise and talent that they bring to the table," she added.

The new groomer, who was hired in 2014, has made herself at home at the clinic and has already earned a reputation for providing impeccable services. Shelli, who is originally from Chicago, graduated from one of the area's best grooming schools. During the more than 10 years that she has worked as a groomer, she has earned certifications for all breed cuts as well as for hand scissoring. Her two cats were adopted from Dessau Vet Clinic. "Working here has been a dream come true for me," said Shelli, "and I look forward to serving many more pets and pet owners in the future!"

April, a new veterinary technician who was hired in May, was born in Waco and raised in Manor. Prior to coming to Dessau Vet Clinic, she worked at a boarding and training facility for seven years. In 2008, she earned her pet care certificate. The mother of two is also the proud owner of a cat named Polly. "I am thrilled to have been hired at Dessau Vet Clinic," said April, "and I really look forward to getting to know our valued clients better."

The North Austin veterinary clinic also added Chelsey, a vet tech, to their team in June. Chelsey, who was born and raised in central Texas, is the proud owner of three dogs and one cat. For fun, she enjoys going canoeing with her pups. "I'm really enjoying my new job at Dessau Vet Clinic," she said. "I've already met so many amazing pets and pet owners, and I am excited to continue assisting them in the future," she added.

With the addition of the three new employees, veterinarian Dr. Campbell and her team will be better able than ever to provide veterinary services to the pets and pet owners of North Austin, Pflugerville and surrounding areas. These services include wellness exams, pet boarding, vaccinations, pet dental care, spaying and neutering and emergency care. The clinic has an on-site lab and pharmacy, ICU and radiology facility. An online pharmacy is also available for the convenience of pet owners.
