NASHVILLE, TENN., UNITED STATES, July 23, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Author Bob Johnson recently partnered with Tate Publishing to kick-start the publication process of his captivating fiction-fantasy novel, “Child of Time.”

Hossiek has secretly protected mankind from the most evil and vile forces in the universe for millennia. Dealing with these forces has made him as vicious and violent as them. While his great powers protect him from those sinister forces, anyone close to him is at risk. Therefore, he is denied the most basic of human relations. This causes Hosseik to carry great anger and loneliness. In his relentless, millennium long pursuit of a vampire with whom he has a very personal vendetta, he meets an unusual female vampire. The relationship that develops between these two unlikely misfits brings peace and happiness to their troubled lives.

“When I was a kid, I devoured comic books that gave me a taste for super heroes and fantasies. My education exposed me to philosophers like Plato, Thomas Aquinas, and Zoroaster, and made me interested in mysticism and metaphysics. I also came to admire truly heroic characters like Odysseus, El Cid, and the Scarlet Pimpernel. It was inevitable that these elements would blend in my imagination. I suppose the story has been in the making my whole adult life. In my work, I've spent a lot of time doing things that did not require much thought. During those times when my mind drifted, the characters and universe of ‘Child of Time’ began to take shape,” shares Johnson on the inspiration behind his book.

“It is a compelling story of action-packed adventures, an unlikely love affair, from a metaphysical and epistemological aspect. All in all, the plot imparts honor, commitment, and redemption, and is definitely a must-read!” says Darcy Blobaum, Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Bob Johnson attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Although he has lived on four continents, he returned to make his permanent home on a small farm outside Nashville where he and his, Debbie, still live. They have two children, Steven and Justin who are both married and live in the Nashville area.

For most of Johnson’s life, he has worked in the construction industry as a residential and commercial carpenter and as a general contractor. He has walked the high steel, pushed the low gravel, and driven countless nails. Finding that his work did not always require his full concentration, he mused over ideas and concepts totally apart from the tasks at hand. Over the years, specific scenarios and characters emerged. In recent years, as opportunities presented themselves, he has coalesced those scenarios, characters, and ideas into several short stories and novels.
