Nab The Job Of Your Dreams With These Great Tips
First impressions are imperative when it comes to a job interview. You need to impress interviewers with all that you have, plus a little bit more.
LA, CA, USA, July 31, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A job interview will make either your career or break it.Aotearoa Beauty came up with a few things you can do to make sure your first impressions are memorable for your future employer, in a good way.
1. Know your business. Be prepared to be asked questions about the company you are applying for the job at; be prepared to be asked questions about the trade or industry you are going into. Do some research on the role.
2. Relax. Interviews are stressful for everyone. If you’re the type to become a little anxious under pressure, make sure you have some way to calm yourself before the interview, try meditation, or go as far as telling the interviewer that you are nervous, and give a brief apology. You’ll find this should ease the tension a little, and make you more comfortable with the situation.
3. Be professionally presentable. Wear suitable attire for the interview based on the industry. A suit, or slacks and a button up shirt with a tie (for men), or a sleek dress for women; will help you to look great and feel more confident. Make sure your hair is tidy and clean up your face. That means shaving if you’re a guy; and potentially investing in a nose hair trimmer or blackhead removal kit to give yourself a brighter complexion.
4. Use manners and speak clearly .You need the interviewer to understand you, so think before you speak, and make sure what you say makes sense, and is audible
5. A firm handshake and eye contact are two perfect ways to show confidence to your interviewer. If your first initial interaction involves you looking at the ground and barely grasping their hand, chances are you won’t make it past the first 3 questions before they let you know they are done.
