Notice in respect of the U.S.$750,000,000 8.5 per cent. Notes due 2017

(ISIN: XS0323760370, Common Code: 032376037)/ [(ISIN: US374422AA15, Common Code: 032392571, CUSIP: 374422 AA1) (the "2017 Notes")

of THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA
(the "Republic")

The Republic announces that it has repurchased in market transactions U.S.$30,000,000.00 in principal amount of the 2017 Notes and that it has procured the cancellation of such 2017 Notes. Following such purchase and cancellation, U.S.$500,597,000.00 in aggregate principal amount of the 2017 Notes will remain outstanding.
