1 p.m. ET Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) is hosting a webinar that will highlight two winning programs from CESA's 2016 State Leadership in Clean Energy Awards: New Hampshire's Useful Thermal Energy Certificate (T-REC) Program and Rhode Island's System Reliability Procurement Solar Distributed Generation Pilot Project.

New Hampshire's T-REC program is a key component of the most comprehensive initiative to support renewable thermal technologies in the country. It has provided significant economic and environmental benefits for the state and is having a substantial influence on renewable thermal policy in other states.

Rhode Island's distributed solar pilot project explored how distributed PV could provide value for the electric grid. It successfully mobilized the local community to adopt solar PV, exceeded goals for solar deployment, helped to defer traditional utility capital investments, and provided important lessons for the consideration of "non-wires alternatives" in distribution system planning.

The following guest speakers from the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission Sustainable Energy Division and the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources will present:

• Danny Musher, chief of program development, Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources

CESA Project Director Val Stori will moderate the webinar. There will be time following each presentation to address questions from the audience. The webinar is free, but registration is required.
