U.S. Condemns Terrorist Attack on Nasa-Hablood Hotel in Mogadishu
The U.S. Mission to Somalia condemns in the strongest terms the barbaric attack on the Nasa-Hablood Hotel in Mogadishu. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those injured or killed, including the State Minister of the Office of the Prime Minister for Environment, and we express hope for a speedy and complete recovery of the injured. The United States conveys its resolute solidarity with the people and government of Somalia in the fight against al-Shabaab.
Such attack demonstrates the continuing threat that al-Shabaab militant group poses to all Somalis. The United States remains committed to work closely with the people and government of Somalia and the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) forces to bring stability, security, and prosperity to Somalia.
