Message:

The FSAI has been informed by the Netherlands Food and Consumer Products Safety Authority that two batches of this product contain the substances Methyl-synephrine (Oxilofrine), ß-Methylphenethylamine, and N_ß-dimethylphenethylamine.  This product was sold to a number of sport and health stores in Ireland.  In addition, the product is labelled to contain the unauthorised novel food ingredient Acacia rigidula.

Nature Of Danger:

These substances have an amphetamine-like effect and are harmful to health.

Action Required:

Inspectors:

EHOs are requested, as part of routine inspections, to check retail outlets to determine if NOXPUMP Pre-training Formula is on sale. If found, EHOs should oversee a recall of the two batches listed above and ensure point of sale notices are displayed.  All batches containing Acacia rigidula in the list of ingredients should be withdrawn from sale. Please notify FSAI (rapidalert@fsai.ie) of the name and address of any suppliers of this product.

Manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, caterers & retailers:

Food businesses that have sold the implicated batches of the product directly to consumers must place a point of sale notice in store and/or on their website to inform their customers not to consume this product.  Food business operators are requested to withdraw from sale all batches containing Acacia rigidula in the list of ingredients, and inform their local EHO.

Consumers:

Consumers are advised not to consume the implicated batches of NOXPUMP Pre-training Formula.  Consumers who may have already consumed this product and are feeling unwell should seek medical advice.
