First Of Its Kind In Arizona: Lip Sync Battle To Raise Funds For Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Lip Sync Battle will be the culmination of a 10-week fundraising drive by One Team for Humanity, the team for Wayne Warrington 2016 MWOY nominee in Arizona.
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, USA, June 2, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Arizona has announced the inaugural Lip Sync Battle of Arizona, the first fundraiser of its kind in the state. More than 500 people are expected to attend the fun musical benefit, taking place on Friday, June 10, from 7 to 11 pm, at BLK Live in Scottsdale.The Lip Sync Battle will be the culmination of a 10-week fundraising drive by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Arizona (LLS)and representing the charity's largest annual local fundraising effort. The Lip Sync Battle is being organized on behalf of Wayne Warrington Nominee for Man of the Year (MWOY) by Campaign Director Mike Hill and event producer Amber Gorospe, supporting Warrington's MWOY team, One Team for Humanity.
"The event will consist of up to 12 participating teams of two to four people who will battle other teams in a lip sync performance to their favorite songs," said Gorospe.
"The best six teams will advance to a final round, with costumes and props, and then the audience will decide who to crown as the winning team." "This will be an amazing event, bringing awareness to and raising funds for a great cause—the advanced research and treatment for all blood cancers," said Hill.
"Most people aren't aware of how prevalent leukemia and lymphoma are in our country and how many lives are affected. We are promoting this dynamic fund raising event for one amazing evening. Tickets for the Lip Sync Battle are $21 for general admission, or $42 for VIP access, which includes red carpet photos and two complimentary drinks. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Arizona, a 501(c)(3) organization.
