Stroud, who holds a master’s degree in ancient and classical history and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy of religion, is a member of the Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Association of Ancient Historians, the Society for Historical Archaeology, and the Philosophical Research Society. Stroud has recently returned to the Midwest from the New York City area, where he and his wife lived for the last two years. The author, who is based in Arkansas, enjoys traveling and organizing debates at the university level on the subject of academic freedom.
