Deadline For Local Business Program, The Breakthrough Challenge, Is Set For August 1, 2016

This nine month program challenges passionate, growth-minded, local small business owners to accelerate their business potential.

LA GRANGE, IL, USA, June 1, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- For its second straight year, FNBC Bank & Trust, in partnership with Suite Spotte Coworking and the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is sponsoring The Breakthrough Challenge, a program designed to help small businesses in the near west suburbs thrive. The application deadline for the program is August 1, 2016.

The Breakthrough Challenge program is designed for the local small business owner who has survived the start-up phase of their business and has achieved profitability. However, they may find themselves stuck without the know-how, skills, or connections to position themselves for substantial growth.

“As a small business owner, there comes a time to jumpstart your growth,” said Sue Reardon, founder and owner of Suite Spotte Coworking in La Grange. “The typical Breakthrough Challenge participant comes to us as they feel they have plateaued. We then help them discover ways to change what’s holding them back and to start growing again.”

Combining structured education with a professional business coaching process, participants will build and execute a growth plan designed to help them take their business to the next level that will include areas such as: sales and marketing, operational excellence, bankable business practices and building an engaged workforce.

“At FNBC Bank & Trust, we are committed to helping small businesses grow and prosper within the community. The Breakthrough Challenge is a great way for business owners to be infused with confidence and take immediate action on whatever it is that’s holding their business back,” said Bill Iaculla, Executive Vice President and Chief Loan Officer.

“The Breakthrough Challenge helped me stay accountable and break through barriers to move my business forward, something I don’t think I could have done on my own. In addition to the outstanding presenters who came to speak to us, I learned so much from my fellow participants” said Charlene Vickery, a participant from The Breakthrough Challenge last year and owner of FocusOm.

Eligibility criteria for this program includes: a local business professional with 50% or more ownership in their business; has been operating for two years or more; has generated revenues of $300,000 or more in 2015; was profitable in 2015, and continues to generate a profit; is willing to commit to the requirements of the program and to attend monthly, half-day, sessions over a 9-month period.

In addition, participants must fill out an online application. Deadline for application and orientations can be found at breakthroughchallenge.biz.
