BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, OHIO, UNITED STATES, June 3, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio – Author Angela M. Ols inspires young readers as she tells a story of enlightenment and allegiance through colorful pictures in her children’s book, “What is a Vote?”

A story of dedication, adherence, and devotion, “What is a Vote?” is an illustrative children’s book about a little brother who wants to know about the election, so his older sister tells him through images.

“My own children were the inspiration for writing this story. They understood that when they turned eighteen, they could vote, but they didn't understand that voting is something that they do every time they voice their opinion,” shares Ols on the inspiration behind the book.

“Children will enjoy the colorful illustration as they walk through the story, and picture themselves in a classroom voting for ice-cream or cake,” states Trinity Tate-Edgerton, co-owner and Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Ols is married to Thomas Ols and they have two children. She began writing in high school for children's programs performed in libraries, churches, schools and civic organizations. In college, she began to explore more writing options in the area of curriculum as well as poetry. Experience with her own children prompted her to seek an opportunity to share with other parents and educators another tool to encourage children to ask questions, voice their opinions and to vote.
