Maine authors express bullying, teasing, taunting in biographical book
Authors Pam Turner and Ken Hinkley soften the feelings of readers as they share a story of conquering with bullying in, “Through Troubled Water.”
A story of persistence and faith, “Through Troubled Water” is a motivational book about explaining the real dangers of whether being the victims of bullying or the perpetrators.
“I realized that if I told my story, it might be helpful to others who are going through the same things,” shares Turner when asked about the inspiration behind their book.
“With the high visibility of bullying in the news and the media, I believe that it will strike a chord with many people,” states Andrea Weig, Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Pam Turner grew up with learning disabilities, which caused much heartache for her. Through belief and desire to reach out to others, she learned to overcome and claim the victory. She currently resides with her 90-year-old mother and works hard reaching out to other people to share the Gospel.
Ken Hinkley serves as the Moderator and CEO of the Maine Association of Congregational, Christian, and Community Churches. In his role as Pastor and leader, he has met with and counseled many people of all walks of life. Even he, as a child, was bullied by a couple of classmates.
