Detroit SUBWAY(R) Stores Sponsor the Michigan Organization's Annual Walk-A-Thon

/EINPresswire.com/ -- DETROIT, MI--(Marketwired - May 25, 2016) - Detroit-based SUBWAY® Restaurants recently donated over 8,000 sandwiches to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan for the organization's annual walk. This is the largest food donation made by any Michigan SUBWAY® market group and is the largest food donation the National Kidney Foundation has received to date in any state.

Five local SUBWAY® franchisees collaborated to deliver 535 sandwich platters, each holding 15 sandwiches, on Sunday, May 15. All 8,025 sandwiches were made and delivered the day of the event, which took place at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak, Michigan.
