Martial Arts Museum Storefront offers International Connection

(NewMediaWire) - May 22, 2016 - Burbank, CA - The martial arts community is a huge community. In just America alone, there are 27,000 known martial arts schools spread across our great nation. This does not include the 100,000 plus garage schools, park schools, community center schools, private classes, church classes, cultural centers and YMCA schools. The Martial Arts History Museum, the first of its kind in the world, has become the epicenter for the martial arts community for not just America, but for the entire world. It is the only place in which every Asian form of martial arts is celebrated and its history kept alive. Creating the Museum Store is a huge milestone in connecting the international community together.

In a wonderful arrangement with Amazon, the world's leading shopping website, the Martial Arts History Museum is able to produce and sell its books and print its t-shirts in an on-demand format. All the books in the museum which include the History of the Museum, Museum Hall of Fame Volume 1, Museum Hall of Fame Volume 2 and Monkey Kung Fu: History & Tradition, were all written by the museum founder and publisher Michael Matsuda.

“I am so thrilled that we were able to be part of Amazon. These books were designed as an integral part of martial arts history. They tell a wonderful story of our heritage and the sacrifices that so many made to bring the arts to America. By setting up our store within Amazon, we are able to share those experiences for the world to enjoy,” notes museum president Michael Matsuda.

In the last two years, Amazon launched a new program that will enable t-shirts to be printed on demand. An invitation-only program, the museum was recently accepted to be a part of this new form of t-shirt manufacturing. “This is a truly amazing program that we have been waiting to be a part of. Printing t-shirts requires a huge minimum which is something we are unable to afford in the plans we have for the store. We have a lot of fun and unique designs both by myself and other wonderful artists that will inspire everyone. From fun ninjas to Chinese sifu's to Filipino warriors, we have designed some very cool shirts and with Amazon's help, we are not limited to our pocketbooks,” says Matsuda.

The Amazon program called MerchAccount, provides up to 25 t-shirts designs which can be purchased on the Amazon website. The museum store features each design and links to the appropriate item. “This is a win-win for all of us and being part of the Amazon family is a big thrill for us and it is our hope people in Germany, Africa, New York and more will be wearing our shirts and reading our books.”

Michael Matsuda is president and founder of the Martial Arts History Museum which was founded in 1999. He is an author of five books on the martial arts and former publisher of Martial Art Magazine.
