Maker Faire Bay Area is the largest gathering of makers in the U.S. Tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, engineers, scientists, students, authors, artists, and corporations come together to share their innovations, projects, inventions, hobbies, and more, to thousands of aspiring makers from all ages and skill levels.

First and foremost, attendees should determine how they're getting to Maker Faire Bay Area 2016. There is no parking at the San Mateo Event Center during Maker Faire. Deciding in advance how to get to the Faire will maximize attendees' time at the event, and help with reducing traffic and delays. Public transportation, such as BART, Caltrain, and SamTrans, is the preferred method for getting to the Faire. Carpooling, Uber, Lyft, and rideshare services as well as biking to the Faire are also great options. All transportation options can be found here:

Storage lockers will be available again for attendees to use for a nominal, daily fee and store their belongings on-site in a safe location. Over 200 lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The locker area will also have a mobile device charging station for a small fee.
