Invenergy and 3M Company Collaborate on Wind Energy
February 2016 - Global conglomerate company 3M has signed a 120-megawatt (MW) wind power purchase agreement (PPA) with Invenergy to provide renewable energy for 3M's operations across North America. The PPA involves wind energy from the Gunsight Wind Energy Center located in Texas. The output of the 120 MW Gunsight project will be delivered into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) regional electricity grid. 3M has a goal of increasing renewable energy to 25 percent of total electricity use by 2025.
