Mars, Incorporated named one of the Best Manufacturing & Production Companies — Again!

Survey of Mars Associates shows they are proud of their work and have strong career opportunities

At Mars, we’re kicking off 2016 just right. Mars is honored to be named one of the 2016 Best Manufacturing & Production Companies by Great Place to Work® for the second consecutive year. Making the list recognizes the importance Mars, Incorporated places on providing great career opportunities and the Associates who continue to develop some of the world’s most beloved brands.

“This recognition is a big ‘thank you’ to the thousands of Associates whose passion and dedication make Mars such a wonderful place to work,” said Richard Ware, Vice President, Supply, Research & Development and Procurement. “We invest in our Associates so they can develop long and rewarding careers with us. In return they reward us with their engagement and commitment to making our consumers happy. We’re delighted to have their efforts recognized in this way.”

This recognition from Great Place to Work® takes into consideration the many training and development programs offered to our Associates, as well as a collaborative and caring workplace culture. Survey results show that Associates are proud of their work, have strong leaders to turn to and are provided with the right challenges to develop their career. The fun perks we offer, such as bringing your dog to the office and enrolling in classes at Mars University, further elevate our company as a truly great place to work.

According to the survey, more than 90 percent of Associates in the U.S. think Mars provides good challenges and working atmosphere, great rewards, and great managers, and 96 percent feel great pride in working for Mars.

The Great Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production is a “best of the best” ranking from Great Rated and Great Place to Work. In order to determine the results, more than 34,950 employees in the manufacturing and production sector were randomly selected to complete Great Place to Work’s Trust Index Employee Survey. Employees answered questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace, which include workplace safety, employee camaraderie, fair treatment and pride in the work they do.
