Dance and Music Take Centre Stage in the Laurentians
The Government of Canada supports the Saint-Sauveur Arts Festival

The Honourable Melanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, today announced $60,000 in support for the Saint-Sauveur Arts Festival, which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this summer.
This funding, made available through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund, will help present an international program of contemporary dance, through cooperation by dancers, choreographers, musicians, and theatre and multimedia artists in the Laurentians.

-- The Saint-Sauveur Arts Festival, which is taking place from August 4 to
13, 2016, attracts around 15,000 people each year. A family day, a dance
camp, free performances and dance-film evenings are some of the
activities that are planned.
-- The Festival's 25th anniversary program will consist of 15 shows,
including a concert by Martha Wainwright to promote her latest album and
performances by emerging choreographers that aim to create a dialogue
between song and dance.
-- The Festival will also present a Night with the Stars, bringing together
a selection of Canadian and international dancers, the Noche Flamenca
flamenco troupe, the Israeli contemporary dance company L-E-V and the
Metropolitan Orchestra.
