Temporary Suspension of usage of Tailings Facility

The Company has received an official communication from the Junta de Andalucía, (the "Junta"), for the provisional stoppage of the deposition of tailings and has requested some additional ‎information from the Company. All pertinent reports have been provided to the Junta and the Company believes that it will result in the prompt lifting of the provisional suspension in the next few days.

The Rio Tinto Copper Project is using some of the best worldwide experts ‎and independent surveyors for the design, operation and supervision of the tailings facilities and the Company is fully confident that it is adhering to best available industry practices. Mining operations are unaffected and continue at normal rates.

‎The stoppage is not expected to have any material effect on the Company's results because the time will be used for routine plant maintenance and as an opportunity to integrate the Expansion Project into existing facilities, which is expected to start commissioning in the next few weeks.
