One Month Expands Online Learning Offerings From Individuals to Startup Teams

First Team Offerings Include Product Management, Innovation and MVP

/EINPresswire.com/ -- SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - April 19, 2016) - From the 2016 ASU GSV SummitOne Month, the first-ever online school for entrepreneurs, announced that it is expanding its focus from individuals to teams, after seeing a need from startups to have teams trained together in areas such as product management, innovation and prototyping.

The many entrepreneurs who successfully went through One Month's StartUp Bootcamp learned about becoming a founder and slowly building a small team. The next natural step was for these small teams to take product management, innovation and MVP courses together to begin building tangible projects.

To that end, One Month has created new courses for startup teams of 2-5 people, including:

One Month courses are designed to help people learn a new technical or business skill in 30 minutes a day for 30 days, and the goal in each class is to help students complete tangible projects -- such as building a prototype. Students have online access to highly experienced teachers who help them succeed. More than 35,000 people have taken One Month courses.

"One Month has always had a strong following in the startup community, and we've noticed that often, founders are taking our courses, or doing our Bootcamp, and then referring their co-workers to the same class afterward," said Mattan Griffel, co-founder and CEO of One Month. "One Month's new Team course offerings make it easier and less expensive for a team of co-founders or co-workers to take a course simultaneously. Feedback so far is that everyone has a richer experience because they're combining the One Month online experience with their team's offline collaboration. We think this is a great new option for teams that want to accelerate their progress against tangible goals like prototype creation, product planning or a public launch of a new product or service."

Griffel has been invited to speak about the impact of online learning models during the Venture Track at the 2016 ASU GSV Summit on educational technology, taking place in San Diego, Calif., April 18-20. During his session, Griffel will address:

  • Shortcomings of traditional business and tech education in higher ed
  • How online offerings are filling the void and helping ensure students are learning the very latest skills
  • Which business and tech skills are most in demand by employers, and thus are the most popular OneMonth offerings
