Companies combine operations to form leading paper and packaging company in Mexico

MEXICO, DF and NORCROSS, Ga., April 01, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Grupo Gondi and WestRock (NYSE:WRK) today announced that they have completed the formation of a joint venture combining their paper and packaging operations in Mexico. The combination was recently approved by Mexico’s Antitrust Authority, the Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica (COFECE), and the companies will begin operating in Mexico as a single entity immediately.
