Brooke Harkins was promoted to a manager position overseeing national systems training.

"Training is an essential and ongoing process at Pinnacle, targeting relevant topics for all job titles," explains Luques. "Industry protocols and corporate goals require interaction with team members throughout their tenure. This creates an intense learning environment due to Pinnacle's large scale and diverse curriculum needs. We now have a strong infrastructure in place to support our internal customers."

Promoted to systems training manager, industry veteran Brooke Harkins will oversee four systems trainers from the Dallas corporate office and collaborate with key business leaders to help meet business initiatives. Since joining Pinnacle over a year ago, her expertise and leadership skills have played a pivotal role in building critical training projects, which included a company-wide rollout of Yardi ancillary products across the country.

Also based in Dallas, Jason Straub will work under Harkins to provide systems training support for team members across the country. He comes to Pinnacle with a wealth of technical and training experience. Prior, Straub was at Lincoln Property Company where he assisted with new transitions and product rollouts, trained on Yardi and Entrata, and worked at the site level. He holds an Accredited Residential Manager certification from the Institute of Real Estate Management and has earned multiple awards for his accomplishments in the industry.

Another systems trainer under Harkins, Wendy Reed, will focus on providing national Yardi and associated ancillary product support from the Pinnacle corporate office in Atlanta. The 20-year industry veteran has an expertise in software applications, onsite operations, leadership, and customer service skills. Reed is also well-versed on the collaborative evaluations of existing programs and the creation of new content based on data driven needs assessments. She joins Pinnacle from Landmark Apartment Trust where she helped to direct their learning and development programs.

Chrys VanDerKamp makes the transition to trainer in the Midwest from an onsite property manager position with Pinnacle. A leader in her region and an active member in industry organizations, she will share her comprehensive knowledge of company and onsite community best practices. VanDerKamp's five-year tenure with the company and progressive career path provide an excellent example of internal growth and commitment to team members.

Laura Moa joins Pinnacle in a national capacity as an affordable trainer based in Maitland, Fla. She will work closely with the company's compliance team to create and facilitate new content that supports the specific needs of affordable site team members. Most recently at Concord Management, she draws on an extensive background in commercial, lease-up, conventional and affordable portfolio operations and has demonstrated success as a peer mentor and trainer.

Amanda Brock joins the learning and development team as an instructional designer where she will focus on creating cutting edge content for classroom and online courses in keeping with the team's data driven instructional strategy. Having designed and developed eLearning and custom blended learning programs for more than 300 clients during the course of her career, she most recently served as a marketing communications manager and instructional systems designer for Grace Hill, LLC. Amanda is affiliated with the Association for Talent Development, the American Marketing Association, and the Public Relations Society of America.
