/EINPresswire.com/ -- TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 03/18/16 -- Global Water Solutions Fund (TSX: HTO.UN) (the "Fund") announced today a cash distribution for the first quarter. Unitholders of record at the close of business on March 31, 2016 will receive a cash distribution of $0.10 per unit payable on or about April 14, 2016.

The Fund also announced today that, based upon prevailing market conditions and the anticipated income from the Fund's portfolio for the upcoming year, the annual indicative distribution amount of the Fund for the upcoming year will remain unchanged at $0.10 per unit per quarter ($0.40 per unit per annum).

The Fund does not have a fixed distribution, but will annually determine and announce in March of each year an indicative distribution amount for the following year based upon prevailing market conditions and the anticipated income from the Fund's portfolio. The Fund will make formal distribution announcements on a quarterly basis. The amount of distributions may fluctuate from quarter to quarter and there can be no assurance that the Fund will make any distribution in any particular quarter or quarters or that the indicative distribution target will be met.
