Treasurer Reese Names Osagie Imasogie to DRPA

Business Executive Will Serve as Treasurer's Designee on Bi-State Authority Board

/EINPresswire.com/ -- HARRISBURG, PA--(Marketwired - February 11, 2016) -  State Treasurer Timothy Reese has appointed Osagie Imasogie, senior managing partner & founder of Phoenix IP Ventures, as his designee to the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) Board. Imasogie is an accomplished business leader with more than 30 years of experience as an attorney, entrepreneur and corporate executive.

"I've worked with Osagie for several years in a number of roles and have always been impressed with his business acumen and leadership," said Reese. "His diverse and extensive experience across the legal, financial and business arenas will bring a valuable perspective to DRPA."

DRPA operates four bridges over the Delaware River between Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and the Port Authority Transportation Corporation (PATCO) commuter rail line. Given Treasury's financial expertise and stewardship, the state Treasurer is an ex-officio member of the DRPA Board and plays an important role in guiding the authority's financial stability.

As the designee of the state Treasurer, Imasogie will become one of eight Pennsylvania commissioners. New Jersey is also represented by eight members on the DRPA.

In addition to his role at Phoenix IP Ventures, Imasogie, whose office is located at the Philadelphia Naval Yard, is currently executive chairman of Iroko Pharmaceuticals and chairman of iCeutica Inc. Previously, he served in a number of senior positions at GlaxoSmithKline, DuPont Merck and Price Waterhouse. As a lawyer, his practice focused on corporate finance, taxation and intellectual property.

Imasogie holds post-graduate degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he serves as a member of the Board of Overseers and is also an adjunct professor. He is also a trustee at the University of Pennsylvania.
