RNA Religion Reporting Awards | $10k in prizes | Deadline TODAY (Feb. 8)

COLUMBIA, MO, USA, February 8, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Today is the final call for religion documentary, photo and short video entries in the 2016 RNA Awards for Religion Reporting Excellence.

Don't miss your chance to claim a piece of the $10,000 Religion Newswriters Association will award among 21 contests for newspapers, broadcast media, online media, magazines, student reporters and book authors.

DOCUMENTARY RULES:
• Submit one documentary, which in 2015 was distributed independently, shown publicly at least once, or aired on a network, cable or satellite television station for initial distribution.
• Maximum length is 140 minutes.

PHOTOGRAPHY RULES:
• Photos must have been taken by a single photographer.
• Photos must have been published in 2015 via a news outlet, either in print or online.
• Photos should be documentary in style and only include routine image correction.
• Entries must include caption and credit.

SHORT VIDEO RULES:
• Submit video and its related content from at least one (and up to three) religion stories produced in 2015 for a website.
• Video/s cannot have been produced for television, or as a web sidebar for a piece that appeared on television.
• Video/s must have been published, posted or broadcast in their original format. Clips or edited videos that were not originally produced with the intent to run as a short video will be ruled ineligible.
• Max video length is six minutes.

ENTRY, PRIZES & DEADLINES
• How to submit entries: Enter at www.RNA.org/contests (RNA membership NOT required)
• Prizes: 1st place $250 & citation, 2nd place $150 & citation, 3rd place $100 & citation
• Deadline: TODAY, Feb. 8 (Extensions considered upon request)
