Single image & gallery categories | $250 first place prize

COLUMBIA, MO, USA, January 27, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Did you publish at least one photo depicting faith in a mainstream news outlet in 2015? If the answer is "Yes," you're eligible to enter RNA's Excellence in Religion Photography Awards.

The Religion Newswriters Association will award more than $10,000 among 21 contests for newspapers, broadcast media, online media, magazines, students and book authors. Two of those categories are specifically for photography: "Excellence in Religion Photography — Single Images" and "Excellence in Religion Photography — Galleries or Series."

RULES

• Photos must have been taken by a single photographer.
• Photos must have been published in 2015 via a news outlet, either in print or online.
• Photos should be documentary in style and only include routine image correction.
• Entries must include caption and credit.

ENTRY, PRIZES & DEADLINES

• How to submit entries: Enter at www.RNA.org/contests
• RNA members receive steeply discounted entry fees, but individuals need not be members to enter.
• Prizes: 1st place $250 & citation, 2nd place $150 & citation, 3rd place $100 & citation
• Deadline: 5 p.m. EST on Feb. 1, 2016.
