If immediate action is absolutely necessary to prevent further damage, policyholders should make sure it's safe to make repairs and take time to thoroughly document the damage. Those with access to a computer or smartphone can also report claims online through the "Client Services Online" feature of farmfamily.com or through the Insured2Go® app.

All impacted policyholders are urged to report claims as soon as they can -- no matter how minor the damage may appear. Eligibility for federal disaster assistance from FEMA, if available, can be affected by whether or not a claim has been submitted to an insurer.
