/EINPresswire.com/ -- SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/14/16 -- TheraKine, Ltd., a privately held drug delivery company, and Cell Care Therapeutics, Inc, a privately held stem cell therapeutics company, have entered into a licensing agreement to use TheraKine's injectable sustained release technology to enable Cell Care's stem cell therapies for diseases of the eye that commonly cause blindness.

TheraKine has developed sustained release delivery technology platforms for injectable local delivery of biologic agents and live cells.

Cell Care uses stem cells to treat degenerative and inflammatory diseases of the eye.
