Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor: Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom David Saperstein Travel to Rome and The Vatican


David Saperstein, Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom (IRF), is in Rome from December 9-12, 2015.

On December 9 and 10, Ambassador Saperstein met in Rome and at the Vatican with religious leaders and representatives of religious groups, as well as with foreign and Vatican officials, to continue advancing the global religious freedom agenda, a U.S. Government priority.

From December 10-12, Ambassador Saperstein will participate in a conference at the Vatican sponsored by the University of Notre Dame and Georgetown University titled Under Caesar's Sword: Christian Response to Persecution. He will be a panelist in a session entitled "The Political and Policy Challenges to Advancing International Religious Freedom"��� along with high-level officials and advocates from around the world.
