The Intersection
/EINPresswire.com/ -- WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - December 09, 2015) - Often in our daily work life we experience the "grind" that revolves around getting things done efficiently and quickly. We seldom have a moment to pause and think about our goals and how best to achieve them while making a significant impact. Over the past 25 years of my work in diabetes and chronic disease prevention, I have seen how our approach to reach meaningful outcomes keeps evolving. As the current head of the Chronic Disease Prevention and Wellness team at Sanofi, I'm pleased to share some reflections on "intersections" and how we can go about achieving meaningful outcomes together in the community.
Intersections have been on my mind lately as I have attended several meetings where I have seen exciting examples of this concept. There is the potential to create a powerful collaboration in unexpected ways, between unlikely partners that could share mutual goals. These types of intersections are inspired by the lessons and insights described in The Medici Effect:
"…a place where ideas and concepts from diverse industries, cultures, departments, and disciplines collide, ultimately igniting an explosion of ideas leading to extraordinary innovations. Breakthrough ideas are most often "intersectional" and occur when we bring concepts from one field into a new, unfamiliar territory."
