Media Advisory: Library and Archives Canada Unveils Acquisition Highlighting One of Canada's Greatest Winter Olympics Hockey Achievements
/EINPresswire.com/ -- GATINEAU, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 11/05/15 -- Library and Archives Canada is proud to announce that it will be displaying and making accessible the Alexander Gardner 'Sandy' Watson fonds it acquired in August 2015.
Media are invited to attend a showing of some of the many items once held by Mr. Watson, the manager of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Flyers hockey team which won the gold medal at the 1948 Winter Olympic Games in Switzerland and to speak with the invited guests. The gold medal will also be on display.
