ZANESVILLE, OHIO, UNITED STATES, November 5, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Author David Calvin together with Tate Publishing, shares a tale of friendship, loyalty, courage, trust, and loads of fun and adventure in his upcoming fictional novel, “Mars Starwalker.”

In “Mars Starwalker,” the main protagonist meets Mars, a charming large alien from a flaring orange ball that fell one brilliant summer night. They instantly become best of friends and later on find themselves formulating plans and strategies to bring Mars back to his family safely.

“My book was mainly inspired by my granddaughters back in 2007. They wanted me to write a book just for them. As we all know granddaughters, like sons, move on to other likes and dislikes. But to me, their grandfather, the story idea remained in the recesses of my brain. So after what seemed like forever, I eventually finished writing the book in 2011. But they weren’t interested anymore,” Calvin jokingly shares in an interview.

“'Mars Starwalker' warms its reader’s hearts. The story offers an attention-grabbing plot with lovable characters. I totally enjoyed reading it from cover to cover,” states Darcy Blobaum in a review.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release, through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

D. L. Calvin is a retired Naval Officer and holds a Doctorate in Psychology. To date, he has written novels including ‘The Vertalak,’ ‘Mars Star Walker,’ ‘The Bitter Vetch,’ ‘A Life of Night Times,’ a screen play presently at TIG Production under the supervision of Jim Wilson, and ‘The River Of Lost Souls,’ a screen play under consideration by Lions Gate supervisor Sara Murphy.

Doctor Calvin is married to his wife Susan. He enjoys traveling and researching material for new works, working in his flower garden, fussing over his yard, and spending time with his grandkids.
