Dr. Hill earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University before attending Ohio State University School of Medicine, where he received his Medical Doctorate.

Returning stateside in 1968, Dr. J. Laurance Hill began an amazing 55-year career before semi-retiring. He has written over 100 articles documenting laboratory and clinical research, medical information and surgical textbooks. Dr. Hill is the well-known skilled surgeon who performed the famous ground-breaking surgical separation of conjoined twins sharing a heart, liver, diaphragm and chest wall in 1986. The girls, Ciera and Tiera Bennett were successfully separated at the age of 2 months by Dr. Hill and his 24-member medical team.
