/EINPresswire.com/ -- GATINEAU, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 10/31/15 -- The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Marc Mayrand, announced today that Bernard Genereux, the candidate of the Conservative Party of Canada, has been declared elected in the electoral district of Montmagny-L'Islet-Kamouraska-Riviere-du-Loup (Quebec), following a judicial recount completed on October 31, 2015, by Justice Claude Bouchard of the Superior Court in the District of Montmagny.

At the 42nd general election held on October 19, 2015, the difference between the Conservative candidate, Bernard Genereux, and the Liberal candidate, Marie-Josee Normand, was 269 votes in favour of Bernard Genereux. Following the judicial recount, the difference between the two candidates is 272 votes.

The following are the results of the recount for all candidates in the electoral district of Montmagny-L'Islet-Kamouraska-Riviere-du-Loup:
