/EINPresswire.com/ -- NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - October 14, 2015) - B&H Photo Video is pleased to share the announcement of the Zeiss Loxia 21mm f/2.8 Lens. This wide-angle prime is the third release in the Loxia line, complementing the 35mm f/2 and the 50mm f/2 lenses. The Distagon lens is constructed of 11 elements in 9 groups using 1 aspherical element and 4 elements with anomalous partial dispersion to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion.
Optimized for full-frame digital sensors, the lens can also be used on APS-C cameras with a 31.5mm equivalent focal length. The Loxia 21mm f/2.8 boasts virtually distortion-free imagery, making it ideal for landscape and interior photography, and its compactness lends itself well to street and travel photography, as well. The f/2.8 maximum aperture allows for low-light shooting and depth-of-field control, and a minimum focusing distance of 9.8" allows you to get very close to your subject.
The lens features a smooth manual focus ring with a large rotation angle for precise focusing, and the aperture ring can be de-clicked for silent aperture changes while shooting video. EXIF data and focus movements are sent to the camera via the lens’s electronic interface.
