Europe and Eurasia: Personal Representative Gary Hart to visit Belfast and Dublin
Secretary Kerry’s Personal Representative, former Senator Gary Hart, will travel to Belfast, United Kingdom and Dublin, Ireland October 12-15 to encourage progress in the current Northern Ireland talks and full implementation of the December 2014 Stormont House Agreement.
During his October 12-14 visit to Belfast, Personal Representative Hart will meet with UK Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Theresa Villiers and Northern Ireland party leaders. On October 14, he will travel to Dublin to meet with Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Foreign Minister Charlie Flanagan. Personal Representative Hart’s discussions will focus on how the United States can best support constructive engagement in the current negotiations and work with all parties to foster an enduring peace in Northern Ireland.
