EFSA@EXPO: Expertise for tomorrow’s safety assessments
What is the future of education in food safety assessment? What are the current developments in higher education and training? Participants in the session “Expertise for the future”, chaired by professor Pier Sandro Cocconcelli, will discuss the competencies and skills needed to work in this area.
Speakers include Gráinne Conole from Leicester University, who will speak about today’s digital landscape and opportunities for continuing professional development; and the scientific consultant Paul Brent, who will present an e-learning module on food chemical risk assessment.
Drawing from their own experience, speakers will give examples of relevant training programmes, case studies and on-going initiatives at EU and global level aimed at equipping specialists with tools and knowledge to work in the area.
