WESTCHESTER, Ill., September 24, 2015 - Ingredion Incorporated (NYSE: INGR), a leading global provider of ingredient solutions to diversified industries, today announced the appointment of Martin Sonntag to senior vice president, strategy and global business development, effective November 1, 2015.

Sonntag will lead the development of Ingredion's global strategy, including the execution of strategic acquisitions and alliances to further drive global growth and deliver shareholder value.

Sonntag joined Ingredion in 2014 as vice president and general manager, EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Prior to Ingredion, he served as an executive investment partner and portfolio manager at ADCURAM Group AG where he oversaw investment strategies for a broad industrial-business portfolio. He also held a variety of positions at Dow Chemical, where over his 24-year career he advanced to become general manager of DowWolff Cellulosics.
