4PM TODAY: U.S. EPA to Hold Media Call on Clean Power Plan

WASHINGTON – Today at 4 p.m. EDT, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold an on-the-record media conference call on the Clean Power Plan. The Clean Power Plan is a historic and important step that will cut U.S. carbon pollution, which fuels climate change and impacts the health and well-being of all Americans. It also builds on the progress states, cities and businesses have been making through their investments in energy efficiency programs and renewable and clean energy technologies. A vital piece of President Obama’s Climate Action Plan, the Clean Power Plan further establishes the United States as a world leader in efforts to combat climate change.
