LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, August 3, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Originally from Perth, Australia actress Jessica Waters has had an incredibly successful career Down Under, and as she prepares to embark on a starring role in the upcoming film "Reality," the actress will undoubtedly be making her name known in Hollywood as well.

Waters says, "I just know it's going to be a fantastic film. The script is amazing. I have a lead role and it's a film that kind of makes fun of reality TV shows. This film has some really big name actors but I'm not allowed to discuss them at this stage in the production."

Although we cannot disclose any further information about the film due to the early stages of production, we can tell you that it is slated to begin filming in Los Angeles in the coming months.

Jessica Waters is one of those actresses who was born to perform, and her life path proves it. At a young age, Waters found herself performing on stages across Australia in not only acting roles, but as a singer and dancer as well; and out of all of the places that she's been in her life, it is on the stage where she feels the most at home.

She says unequivocally, " I feel I didn't choose to be an actor, it chose me."

Waters has performed in several productions with the prestigious Western Australian Opera, the resident theatre company at His Majesty's theatre, including the 2014 show "Carmen," as well as "Giacomo Puccini" and "Gaetano Donizetti."

She also spent several years performing with the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Western Australia, where she was both an actor and choreographer. During that time the actress took on leading roles in a lengthy list of productions including "A Midnight Summer's Dream," "Comedy of Errors," "The Tempest," "Twelfth Night," and "Much Ado About Nothing."

Waters' aesthetic appeal, backed by her unparalleled acting prowess, has also helped her land a long list of commercials for major brands and organizations including Central Tafe Perth, Ronald McDonald House, Broadway Homes, TAB, Lottery WES, Baileys Fertiliser, Finbar Apartments and many more.

Her natural capacity as a singer has also been proven by the fact that she made it into the Top 100 on Australian Idol back in 2008, a tough competition that thousands of individuals across Australia audition for.

"I have managed Jessica Waters for six years and she has been my most booked actress for TV commercials and film roles. This is due to the local industry recognizing her popular talent in Western Australia where she always lights up a room, impressing casting agents when she walks through the door," says Maxine Howell.

"In my mind Jessica is going to be the next Nicole Kidman as I can see she is so talented and also has a triple threat being able to sing, act and dance at an elite level.

A leading lady in the world of film and television, the actress landed some of her first big roles on the screen over five years ago when she was cast in the multi-award winning hit Australian series "Neighbours," which began airing in 1985, and the hour-long drama series "Satisfaction."

Over the course of her career Waters has dazzled international audiences with her performances in such films as "Vampire Love," "Stolen Identity," "The Mating Habits of the Modern Nerd," "Breakdown in LA," "Real Men Don't Cry," "One Last Sunset" and others.

She was also featured in Robert Connolly's award winning 2015 film "Paper Planes," which was released in January, and is one of the highest grossing films since "The Sapphires" according to the Australian Writers Guild.

Although she has clearly proven her range as an actress through the variety of roles that she has played across genres to date, the brilliant young star admits that the film styles she is drawn to the most are science fiction and period dramas.

Viewers across Australia have already had the chance to see the actress strut her stuff as characters from another age in the film "The Great Mint Swindle," a story about two innocent men who find themselves caught in the middle of one of the most famous heists in Australian history, as well as the television series, "The War that Changed Us."

In regard to the "The War that Changed Us," a period drama about Australia's participation in World War I that aired on ABC Television (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), Waters says that her role in the production as a wartime nurse was actually one of her most memorable so far.

"My favorite role would be playing a World War I nurse -- I really loved getting all dressed up in costumes for that time period. But I have a feeling my new film is going to be my new favorite."

In addition to the upcoming film "Reality," audiences will also be able to catch actress Jessica Waters in the new Syfy television series "Childhood's End," an adaptation of the classic Arthur C. Clarke novel that is scheduled to begin airing in December.
