DEPUTY SECRETARY BLINKEN: Well, good afternoon. It is very good to have Prime Minister Yatsenyuk here at the State Department and in the United States more generally. We had a terrific session this morning with the first-ever U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum and I think we’re all very excited about the huge potential for American companies to do more business and more investment in Ukraine. And more importantly, the extraordinary efforts of the prime minister, of President Poroshenko, to move Ukraine forward on reforms – financial, economic, political – especially in the incredibly challenging environment in which they’re operating, has the admiration of the Administration and the American people.

We stand strongly with Ukraine as it meets the significant challenges that it faces. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to hear from the prime minister an up-to-the-minute report on the various challenges, but I think we’re making progress in standing with Ukraine in the Minsk process and more broadly standing with Ukraine as it faces the very difficult challenges that it has before it.

PRIME MINISTER YATSENYUK: This is a new page in our bilateral relations. To date, this is the first-ever investment summit between Ukraine and the U.S., so American people stand by the Ukrainian people and we are fighting for freedoms and liberties and we are fighting for the free world together with our American friends. We truly commend the efforts of the U.S. Administration and the White House, the Senate, to support Ukrainian people in our fight for our bright future. Thank you.
