Raising Awareness & Collective Action for Water with WWF
Working to address global conservation challenges requires partnership and collaboration. In partnership with our longtime conservation partner, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), we join forces with external partners from government, international financial institutions, academia, industry, and civil society, and leverage their expertise, networks, and financial resources to collectively address shared conservation issues, with a particular focus on fresh water. Read more about our partnership on our joint website. Two key events helped us advance discussion and action on fresh water in 2014.
On May 15, 2014 in Washington D.C., as part of the Americas regional planning process of the 7th World Water Forum, our partnership hosted a multi-stakeholder event, “Water for Our Future.” This event brought together some of the most influential voices in water to explore issues and solutions to the world’s water challenges.

In 2014, our partnership also participated at World Water Week in Stockholm—a critical event in the global water dialogue—through an exhibit and speaking engagements. Partnership spokespeople shared examples of water challenges faced and solutions implemented while on the speaking circuit. You can read more about partnership challenges and solutions here. And, to garner crowd interest at WWF’s exhibit booth, the partnership created photo frames and took photos of event participants, enabling opportunity for networking and information sharing.
