Women: Ambassador Catherine Russell Travels to Panama and Mexico
Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Catherine Russell will travel to Panama City and Mexico City, April 8 – 15.
In Panama Ambassador Russell will be part of the U.S. delegation to the Summit of the Americas, where she will meet with government officials, business leaders, and civil society representatives to discuss women’s economic empowerment, gender-based violence, and the importance of civil society to strong democratic institutions.
In Mexico Ambassador Russell will discuss women’s economic opportunities and gender-based violence and its impact on security.
