Speech: TTIP: Subsidiarity and other shared transatlantic principles

EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström addressed the Committee of the Regions on 12 February, during the first plenary session of its new term. She underlined how TTIP would benefit regions across Europe by strengthening the economy, delivering effective government and strengthening Europe's voice in the world. Representatives of towns, cities and regions are a vital link between European people and the policies of the EU, she stressed, and called on them to support the agreement.
