PADUCAH, KY., USA, February 4, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Tate Publishing is honored to announce that they have signed a contract to publish local author Gaylon Hayden’s inspiring new children’s book “It’s Christmas Again.”

“We are so thrilled to work with Gaylon on the publication of this enchanting, yet heartbreaking tale about all the things that make Christmas-time so magical—from snowflakes to hot chocolate with marshmallows, tempered with the heartbreaking news of childhood cancer. Seeing the entire experience through the eyes of this sweet child will make readers think of how much there is in life to be thankful for, and what the true gift of Christmas is: life. I look forward to seeing the book’s success as as it captivates and inspires readers during the holidays season after season,” said Stacy Baker, Director of Acquisitions at Tate Publishing and the acquisitions editor for the book.

Written from the author’s personal experience battling cancer, Hayden shared, “After I was told I had cancer… I quickly realized, it was not going to be an easy process. Children with cancer became my “Heroes.” I wrote the book, “It’s Christmas Again” to give back to the ones who gave me motivation to keep on keeping on. It is my passion to benefit children diagnosed with cancer and to provide educational material, which explain and explore the experiences such children undergo, in words a child can understand, as they fight to become a survivor. It is my desire to give hope to children and their loved ones that cancer is not always a death sentence. There is life after cancer.”

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Gaylon Hayden was diagnosed with breast cancer on Christmas Eve, 2007. Hayden has one daughter and two grandchildren and lives in Paducah, Kentucky, with her husband, Mark.
