Local author Tia Farrell has teamed-up with Tate Publishing to kick-start the publication process of her new book, title to be announced soon.

Farrell's book centers on seventeen-year-old, Valerie, who is a hypochondriac and how she meets a boy who helps her go through all the answers to life.
"When I was young I was afraid of many things and the only thing that made that fear go away was to face what I was afraid of. I know what it’s like to miss out on life because you’re afraid of things, and I wanted to write a character that had overcome such a struggle and let people know that they can overcome anything they face," shares Farrell, when asked about the inspiration behind the book.

Tia Farrell lives in Florida with her husband Matthew. Her passion for writing started at a young age of eight when her News Writer father encouraged her to continue and enhance her talent. Tia graduated from the Children's Literature Institute of Connecticut and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. When not writing, Tia is seen painting, crocheting, or spending time outdoors with her husband.
