Local author Rhonda Bates has teamed up with Tate Publishing to kick-start the publication process of her new book of poems and prose, The Bible's Song.

Rhonda Bates started writing poetry at a young age. She was an adopted daughter to a Christian family who helped her in paving the way to her faith. Divorced with two sons and one daughter, Bates' numerous tribulations caused her to have trust issues and an identity crisis. She sought solace in God and began putting her thoughts and feeling on paper to express brokenness, struggle, love, and faith. She strongly believes that a daily purposeful relationship with God is necessary to attain a truly happy life.
