BERMUDA, W.K -- , UNITED STATES, November 8, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Local authors to publish inspiring autobiography on her trials to triumph

Local author Marcia Shury recently partnered with Tate Publishing to get started on the publication process of her book, Silent Hearer.

Silent Hearer is an autobiography of Shury's battle with bullying, taunts -- and even abuse, after she endured the plight of her partial hearing loss. Inspired by the numerous inquiries of people who were curious about how she combated the trials and tribulations that she went through, Marcia Shury decided to put into writing the story that could somehow inspire people everywhere to triumph over their own trials.

"I actually started my first autobiography in 2001 but then shelved [it] as I didn’t want to recall some painful memories. This one was birthed on June 1st, 2014, [it] took less than 3 months to complete and was entirely handwritten from start to finish. It took me less than 2 hours to write the first 6 parts by hand. I laugh as I recalled my friend's daughter, Mycah, who was sitting next to me, looking at my finger moving rapidly across the page of the notebook I was using to write in and exclaiming, ‘Wow, Aunt Marcia, you write fast!” Little did she know that I was only writing that quickly because the story was pouring out of me like a river," recalls Shury.

"Silent Hearer is about a girl who loses her hearing in high school after having the mumps twice. Marcia's story takes us on this inspiring journey to be strong enough to battle through success!" shares Shannon Lloyd, the Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Marcia Shury lives in Bermuda with her husband Anthony and her amazing daughter, Fidelia. Being a voracious reader, Shury began writing poetry and prose at a young age of 11. Marcia is also the Team Leader of the Social Media Ministry Church and a secretary of the church's Missionary Board. She is a self-taught Graphics and Web Designer and when she doesn't have her head in a book or watching her favorite T.V. shows, Marcia is seen enjoying nature walks or jogging through the trails of Bermuda.
